Hey, guys. I just received the latest Yu-Gi-Oh! September 2010 ban list from a forum. Cards that are listed in the below are just the cards that was changes in the current ban list.

1st, I will discuss regarding the Forbidden Cards. From the new ban list, we can see that the Frog deck almost powerless because one of the key card, Substitoad already been banned thus Frog deck will be hardly to see anymore during the apply of the new ban list. Next, rescue cat no more as a supportive/key card for X-saber, Gladiator Beast, Beast and Cat Synchro anymore. The most unexpected card listed in the forbidden list is Heavy Storm. This means that no more afraid of OTK because almost every OTK need the supportive of Heavy Storm 1st. Then followed by Brain Control, another key card for OTK too.
For the Restricted Cards, finally we can see Infernity Launcher included in this new ban list thus we will see no more 1 turn synchro 3 synchro monsters in Infernity deck. Another mill card synchro monster, Trishula also limited as 1 piece. Thus, OTK power becoming weaker temporarily. The released of Monster Reborn and Dark Hole are to replace the places of Heavy Storm and Brain Control. The restriction of Black Whirlwind also not much affected to Blackwings deck because Blackwings will gain new supportive cards by this year October.
Moreover, for the Semi-Restricted Cards Chaos Sorcerer again return back to the Semi-restricted Card List. This means that Chaos deck will be more playable than before. The released of Ojama Trio is due to the released of Black Rose Dragon from the Restricted Card List. The released of Magic Cylinder also means the deck that playing Offensive Defense such as Chain Burn deck become more powerful.
Lastly, for the unlimited cards, the most impressive cards in the list is Black Rose Dragon. This means that Starlight Road will be the most familiar card in all deck during this period. Furthermore, Cyber Fusion deck can regain their power after this since the release of Cyber Dragon from the Semi-Restricted list.

Seriously, they should have banned Ronintoadin instead of Substitoad. I play a Frog deck before the release of Ronintoadin and I can say that Frog deck is very slow without Ronin. However, the fun was still there. On the other hand, without Substitoad, the deck cannot work at all. Weeping for my deck and planning a new one.
Due to the popularity of Frog deck especially Frog Monarch and Frog OTK thus Konami prefer to ban it for a while rather than limit it to 1 piece.Another reason may be is Konami wanna promote Blackwings deck bcoz Frog deck is one of the deck that can completely slow down the speed of Blackwings deck. Furthermore, the Crow duelist pack is going to release by this year October.
Frog Monarch is not that popular, comparing to Blackwing, Zombie, Plant and so on. Without Ronintoadin, the Monnarchs cannot rely on the Frogs as Tribute, as Dandlyion and other tokens may prove to be more useful. The danger of Substitoad lies in the combo Substitoad - Ronintoadin - Fishborg Blaster. In one turn, there may be as many as 5 synchro summons. This combo can be very easy to pull off, as one only need Substitoad and any monster to tribute to summon Swap Frog, which will make sure that Ronintoadin and Fishborg Blaster are in the Graveyard. And then, you can repeat the Ronintoadin - Substitoad - Fishborg Blaster combo to Synchro Summon as many times as you want. If you summon Trisula, you can discard all your opponent's cards before they even start their first turn (bounce Trisula back with Swap Frog to Synchro Summon them again). So, either Substitoad, Ronintoadin or Fishborg Blaster has to be forbidden (you only need a copy of each for the combo to work, so no point limiting them). What makes me mad is they chose Substitoad.
I don't think they want to promote Blackwing as Black Whirlwind will become limited this September. What Konami likes to promote is X-Saber (see how many of them are there and how broken they are). Many of the world champions' decks are X-Saber. Without my Frog, I don't know what I can play. I have been using the deck for so long and it is my pride. The entire deck is inexpensive, but devastating even without synchro. By the way, I am the one who posted the two comments above.
What deck are you using? I need some ideas for a new deck. Whenever I get an idea, I discard it immediately as I get an impression that it will not be as strong as my Frog deck.
Currently using cat synchro but since rescue cat has been banned thus i will switch to play Machina Karakuri,Chaos(light n dark),or even Quickdraw Synchro.I think u can try to play Hero Beat or Dual Plant.This 2 decks not much affected by the new ban list thus they might be a good choice for u.Dual Plant is quite effective for this moment due to the release of Black Rose Dragon.But anti-OTK cards are plenty thus it might be a bit difficult to OTK ppl nowadays.U can leave some comments or idea in my chat box bcoz I more frequently checking my chat box.Anyways,nice to meet u n hope u can give more precious opinions when I posted new article.
Nice to know that you also use Machina. Besides Frog (which I named Amphibians' Ambition), I have a Anicent Gear Machina deck (which I named Cyber Endgame) and it works quite well. Gear can be discarded for Fortress and be revived by Geartown. I have not got access to Karakuri as I only play English cards. I was thinking about Plant Fusion (Twilight-Black Rose-Miracle Synchro Fusion), Quickdraw Drill and an Jurrac Oppression. I look forwards to your new article. - Stormmonarch
