Dark World Swarming in OCG!

Hey, guys! Today I would like to share a recipe of Dark World as someone has requested it. Before we moving to the recipe, I will share the exact ruling of some cards so that you guys can understand why some cards can trigger the effect of Dark World monster and why some cannot. As you guys understand, Dark World is a archtype which can only activate its effect when they are discard from hand to the graveyard due to card effect.

One of the important rulings of Dark World monster is all Dark World monster effects are activated in the graveyard thus any cards which negated the effect that activated on the field will not applied on them. In this case, Effect Veiler, Destiny Hero - Plasma and Skill Drain will have no effect on all Dark World monster. Thus I hope you guys will never cheated by some duelists that Dark World monster effects can be negated by using those cards that I have mentioned in this paragraph.

Second important of Dark World monster is they must be discarded by the card effect and must be send to graveyard so that their effect can be activated. If they are not send to the graveyard but is banish(remove from play) then they cannot activate their effect. Apart from that, some of the Dark World monsters such as Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World; Sillva, Warlord of Dark World; Beiige, Vanguard of Dark World; Reign-Beaux, Overlord of Dark World and Celri, Monk of Dark World will not activate their additional effect if they are no longer in the graveyard when the chain is resolved.

Okay, here is my Dark World recipe:

Monster(19)
Broww, Huntsman of Dark World x3
Brron, Mad King of Dark World x2
Celri, Monk of Dark World x2
Dark Armed Dragon x1
Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World x2
Grapha, Dragon God of Dark World x2
Morphing Jar x1
Plaguespreader Zombie x1
Sillva, Warlord of Dark World x2
Snow, Magician of Dark World x3

Magic(13)
Book of Moon x1
Card Destruction x1
Dark Hole x1
Dark World Dealings x3
Dark World Lightning x2
Foolish Burial x1
Gateway to Dark World x1
Giant Trunade x1
Monster Reborn x1
Mystical Space Typhoon x2

Trap(8)
Bottomless Trap Hole x2

Mind Crush x1
Mirror Force x1
Solemn Judgment x1
Solemn Warning x2

Torrential Tribute x1

Extra deck:
Ally of Justice Catastor x1
Brionac, Ice Barrier Dragon x1
Black Rose Dragon x1
Number 39: Utopia x2
Scrap Dragon x1
Stardust Dragon x1
Tiras, Keeper of Genesis x2

As a reminder, most of the Dark World monster effect can be negated by Solemn Warning or Royal Oppression. In this case, Beiige, Vanguard of Dark World; Celri, Monk of Dark World; Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World; Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World; Reign-Beaux, Overlord of Dark World and Sillva, Warlord of Dark World can be negated by these two cards when they activate their special summon effect. For Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World, its first effect that consists of card destruction can be negated if it is discarded by opponent card effect.

Thus to avoid Dark World monster effect from negated by opponent's card, you can arrange your own chain. This can only be done through several cards such as Card Destruction, Fabled Raven, Fine, Graceful Charity, Infernity Inferno, Morphing Jar, Royal Tribute, Strategy of the Dark and The Cheerful Coffin. As a result, you might face some trouble when you want to make such a kind of chain. By arranging your chain, your Dark World monster effect will not be negated by Solemn Warning or Royal Oppression. Due to all Dark World monster is mandatory effect, thus you will not face any trouble of miss timing for activating Dark World monster effect.

To further the understanding of chain, let me give some example. Example 1: You have Card Destruction, Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World; Broww, Huntsman of Dark World and Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World in your hand and your opponent have a Stardust Dragon and a face-up Royal Oppression on the their field. You activate Card Destruction then you can arrange your Dark World monster effect according to the following order:
1st Arrangement: Chain 1 Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World; Chain 2 Broww, Huntsman of Dark World; Chain 3 Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World
2nd Arrangement: Chain 1 Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World; Chain 2 Broww, Huntsman of Dark World; Chain 3 Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World
3rd Arrangement: Chain 1 Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World; Chain 2 Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World; Chain 3 Broww, Huntsman of Dark World

For the 1st arrangement of chain, your opponent can negated the special summon of Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World by Royal Oppression and they cannot negated the other effect activation but you still lost one card. For the 2nd arrangement of chain, your opponent can negated the card destruction effect of Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World by releasing Stardust Dragon and they cannot negated the other effect activation but you still lost one card. For the 3rd arrangement of chain, your opponent cannot negated any of the Dark World monster effect and you are having advantage over your opponent.

Example 2: You have a set Morphing Jar on the field and you have Celri, Monk of Dark World; Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World; Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World and Snow, Magician of Dark World in your hand whereas your opponent have a Archlord Kristya and a Shooting Star Dragon. It is your turn and you flip summon your Morphing Jar. Through the effect of Morphing Jar, you can arrange your Dark World monster effect according to the following:

1st Arrangement: Chain 1 Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World; Chain 2 Celri, Monk of Dark World; Chain 3 Snow, Magician of Dark World; Chain 4 Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World
2nd Arrangement: Chain 1 Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World; Chain 2 Celri, Monk of Dark World; Chain 3 Snow, Magician of Dark World; Chain 4 Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World
3rd Arrangement: Chain 1 Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World; Chain 2 Celri, Monk of Dark World; Chain 3 Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World; Chain 4 Snow, Magician of Dark World
4th Arrangement: Chain 1 Celri, Monk of Dark World; Chain 2 Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World; Chain 3 Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World; Chain 4 Snow, Magician of Dark World

For the 1st arrangement of chain, you cannot special summon Celri, Monk of Dark World and Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World and you can only add another Dark World card to your hand using Snow, Magician of Dark World's effect plus destroying 1 card on your opponent field. However, you lost 2 cards. For the 2nd arrangement of chain, your opponent can negated the card destruction effect of Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World by using Shooting Star Dragon effect, you cannot special summon Celri, Monk of Dark World and Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World but you still can add one Dark World card from your deck to your hand. In this case, you have lost 3 cards effect.

For the 3rd and 4th arrangement of chain, your opponent cannot negated any of the Dark World monster effect and you are able to special summon all your Dark World monsters. Apart from that, you can special summon a Sillva, Warlord of Dark World after adding it by using your Snow, Magician of Dark World's effect and discarding this card from your hand by the effect of Celri, Monk of Dark World. After this, you still can Xyz summon Tiras, Keeper of Genesis and use it to against Shooting Star Dragon.

Okay, that's all for today! Thanks for your precious time and wish you guys have a nice day! Please stay tuned for my next post.

Xyz Concept Deck

Hey, guys! As I mentioned in the previous post, today I will share a concept deck that suit for Xyz summon within a turn. I think most of you have think of this deck before this, however, I have added some new cards from Photon Shockwave (PHSW) and you can upgrade it as you like.

The recipe is as below:
Monster(22):
Chaos Sorcerer x1
Cyber Dragon x2
Dark Armed Dragon x1
Dandylion x1
Effect Veiler x2
Gagaga Magician x3
Glow-up Bulb x1
Goblindbergh x2
Lonefire Blossom x2
Wind-Up Warrior x2
Mystic Tomato x1
Sangan x1
Spore x1
Summoner Monk x1
Tragoedia x1

Magic(14):
Allure of Darkness x1
Book of Moon x1
Dark Hole x1
Giant Turnade x1
Instant Fusion x2
Level Limit - Area B x1
Mind Control x1
Monster Reborn x1
Mystical Space Typhoon x2
One for One x1
Pot of Avarice x1
Reinforcement of the Army x1

Trap(4):
Royal Decree x3
Torrential Tribute x1

Extra deck:
Ally of Justice - Catastor x1
Arcanite Magician x1
Black Rose Dragon x1
Brionac, Ice Barrier Dragon x1
Empty Space Sea Serpent Levaiel x1
Flame Ghost x1
Formula Synchron x1
Kamionwizard x1
Musician King x1
Number 17: Leviath Dragon x1
Number 39: Utopia x1
Scrap Dragon x1
Tiras, Keeper of Genesis x3

This concept is suitable to the OCG and TCG as well. If you are a TCG player then you can change Tiras, Keeper of the Genesis to Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon which can used to clear up the opponent's face-up card. By using this deck, you can choose to synchro or Xyz summon whenever you need it. Thus, this deck is quite powerful but it might slow down the speed of OTK your opponent if you are emphasize on synchro monster.

The reason I put Level Limit - Area B in this deck is because it can helps to slow down your opponent for preparing to OTK and Xyz monster is unaffected by this card at all. Thus it is very helpful if you using Xyz monster as your main choice of special summon. Due to Gagaga Magician is a dark attribute monster and we are more emphasize on the Xyz summon of Tiras, Keeper of the Genesis thus we can have Dark Armed Dragon and Chaos Sorcerer to increase the chances of winning your opponent.

Due to this is a concept deck, it might not work as smooth as you think. As a result, you need to have more practice on this build and improving its speed of Xyz summon. Anyway, I think that this deck do have a lot of potential in the future. Hopefully, this recipe will helps you in new deck construction or giving you a new image on synchro-Xyz style. Who knows this deck might be an Xyz summon version of Quickdraw Dandy, thus you can have a try on this deck.

Okay, that's all for today! Thanks for your precious time and wish you guys have a nice day! Please stay tuned for my next post.

Popularity of Xyz(Exceed)

Hey, guys! Today I would like to share some of my thought regarding exceed summon (known as Xyz in TCG). In order to make you guys more understand the important of exceed monster in the future, I will discuss a bit about Dark World first.

As you guys can see from the OCG's Dark World structure deck, it is a deck consists of monsters from level 1 and up to level 10. Basically, this deck can be emphasize on the special summon of the Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World and Sillva, Warlord of Dark World. Thus we can see them often appeared in the Dark World deck. As a result, Rank 5 exceed (Xyz) monster will be the essential exceed monster for Dark World deck.

The latest Rank 5 Xyz monster in OCG is just Tiras, Keeper of Genesis and it can be easily suit to any of the deck which focuses on the special summon of level 5 monster. Therefore, Tiras, Keeper of Genesis is the best choice to play for Xyz summon and I predicted that it will started gaining more popular after the release of Dark World deck. With it, Dark World deck can smash almost any deck easily and it will be the major beat-stick for most of the decks which focus on special summon.

This card almost unbeatable within 2 turns except you using those cards which can negate its summon, effect or even banish it. Three years ago, I mentioned to all my friends that synchro monster will be very powerful and they will become one of the popular trend soon. In the end, synchro monsters do become powerful and have become a major trend in almost all kind of decks. Again, I will forecast that Xyz and synchro monsters will be very competitive soon.

Besides that, they will become a major trend soon and Xyz monsters may be standalone from the synchro monsters in the future. I using standalone to describe Xyz monster because they will be independent from the synchro monsters when time goes on due to their unique identity and abilities. Moreover, I do discover a fact that X-Saber deck can also play Xyz summon and it can easily Xyz summon the rank 3 Xyz monster.

Most of the X-Saber deck will have level 3 X-Saber monster such as Fullhelmknight, Darksoul and Airbellum. With them on the field, you can Xyz summon a rank 3 Xyz monster such as Number17 Leviath Dragon. However, XX-Saber Darksoul will not activate its effect if it is used as Xyz material. Thus please take note if you want to Xyz summon for a rank 3 Xyz monster. Other than this deck, I still have a recipe for Xyz summon but I will only share it to you guys on next week.

Okay, that's all for today! Thanks for your precious time and wish you guys have a nice day. Please stay tuned for my next post.
