Hey, guys! Sorry for late updating my blog. My blog have started for 3 years already but I seldom mention about my story of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. Thus I will share my story how I meet with Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and a bunch of my friends with you guys. My first impression on Yu-Gi-Oh! cards was came from the aired of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monster Anime Series. I still remember that this anime series started aired on my local television channel in the year of 1999. Start from that moment, I started play Yu-Gi-Oh! cards.
However, my first Yu-Gi-Oh! deck was built from pirated cards. I have played pirated Yu-Gi-Oh! cards for around 2 years then only switch to play original Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. The reason of playing pirated deck was because I never knew the existence of original Yu-Gi-Oh! cards in my hometown until the day I went to a shopping centre in my hometown. Start from that moment, I decided to play original Yu-Gi-Oh! cards although my pocket money was not enough for me to buy any of the Yu-Gi-Oh! decks or booster boxes.
Thus, I tried to save my pocket money and red packets received from my siblings and parents during Chinese New Year to buy some original Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. During those time, the Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh! starter decks that sold in card shop was Yugi Moto(YU), Kaiba(KA), Joey Wheeler(JY) and Pegasus(PE). Each deck is costs around RM90 as I remembered and I think I have collected those money for around 6 months before I bought the Yu-Gi-Oh! Starter deck.
My first starter deck was the combination of Joey Wheeler and Pegasus starter deck. By hybridize these deck, I started my journey of becoming a Yu-Gi-Oh! duelist and started to learn the effect of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. During those time, I don't even know any single word of the Japanese and I have a hard time for learning all these cards' effect. Luckily, my first original Yu-Gi-Oh! friend, You Sing Soon has came to my life to he is the one that motivate me for learning these cards' effect. I still remember that the first duel I have with him is a good lesson for me because I lose to him. With the eager for revenge, I started to learn all these cards' effect and the tactic plus strategy.
After that, I started to appeared in the public tournament from the year 2002 and I had met a bunch of Yu-Gi-Oh! duelists in my hometown. However, most of them already quit from the game from year 2003 until 2006. Within this period, Yu-Gi-Oh! cards was one of the most popular cards game for all young kids and teenagers. To looking for new duelists, I went to the game shop in my hometown frequently and I met with two new friends who were Wei Jun and Han Wei. Both of them were the staffs of the game shop and they were duelists too.
This game shop basically sell all kind of games and entertainment devices including card game, PlayStation, MP3 players and etc. With the occurrence of them, this game shop become one of my favourite places to go because I can learn more knowledge and skills of Yu-Gi-Oh! from them. Apart from that, I learn most of the cards' effect and rulings from them. However, this happy period did not last long because they have leaved the shop after they had worked for 2 years. Since that moment, Yu-Gi-Oh! card also no longer popular in my hometown due to lack of the appearance of experienced duelists and nobody teach those new players to play it.
This situation has last for 2 years until the appearance of me as a staff in the game shop. The purpose of me accepting this part-time job was because I like Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and I do not want this game to be leave behind from those people whose interested with it plus I was waiting for my result of STPM. During those time, I had set an objective for myself which is to promote back Yu-Gi-Oh! cards to anyone else whose interested with it. From the moment I joined the game shop, the Yu-Gi-Oh! cards sale also become better and I did promote this game through organizing tournament for several months. Although this tournament is considered as small tournament and not much of people joining it, this event still able to attract some new players.
Within the period, Yu-Gi-Oh! products were sold more faster and I had made some arrangement on the single card's price so that those cards can be sold more easily. I also met with a duelist whose has quit from this game for a long time and he started play Yu-Gi-Oh! cards again since the day we met in the game shop. Today, he is a duelist who also sell Yu-Gi-Oh! cards in another game shop which situated not far away from my ex-company. I just joined the company for 3 months and then I quit my job because I wanna continue my study life.
Within those time, I managed to teach some new players to play Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and they always asking me the rulings and combos of cards from me. Until now, some of the players still asking me questions regarding cards' ruling and combos. However, I would not reject anyone for questioning Yu-Gi-Oh! cards because this is one of the way to improve our understanding on Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. By the way, I am more than a duelist start from 2008 because I also offer service for helping people to search for rare cards too. So if you guys have any problem regarding the Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, you can leave a message in my chat box, email to my address or even leave comment in my latest post. Besides, one of my friends have created a new Yu-Gi-Oh! fan page in facebook and if you guys interested with it, you can visit it by clicking here.
Okay, that's all I wanna share for today. Thanks for your time and wish you all have a nice day! Please stay tuned for my next post.
Hey, guys! I would like to share an instant news to you guys about the March 2011's ban list. This time the ban list does not much affected all the popular decks among OCG and TCG. However, Konami did trying to slow down the speed of OTK and FTK decks such as Six Samurai, Psychic, Blackwings, Angel, and Debris Plant too. The most unexpected cards included in this list were Goyou Guardian and Royal Tribute.
Cards that are listed in the below are just the cards that was changes in the current ban list.
Blackwing - Kalut the Moon Shadow
Book of Moon
Gateway of the Six
No longer restricted or limited cards:
Demise, King of Armageddon
Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier
Based on the ban list, I can see that the release of Exceed Monster will be a big hit to the OCG plus TCG. With the limit of Blackwing - Kalut the Moon Shadow and semi-limit of Icarus Attack, Blackwings will be a bit slower and the chances of OTK also drop too. The limit of Honest and semi-limit of Archlord Kristya also weaken the Angel deck. Once again, Dandylion limit to one and Debris Dragon being semi-limit will reduce the speed of Debris Plant deck.
With this ban list, Machina deck does not hit much and they can even fusion summon with the Cyber Dragon using Overload Fusion. Thus, Karakuri and Machina deck will be more powerful after the apply of this ban list. Psychic deck also not much affected by this ban list thus they can OTK more frequent compare with the Blackwings. Besides, the banned of Goyou Guardian also means Exceed Monster can be play more safely. The banned of Cold Wave also mean no more afraid of back row cards being destroyed. Overall, this ban list does make some hits to the current circumstances.
Apart from that, I will share the news regarding the Exceed Monster. This is the Exceed monster that will be released in the Starter deck 2011. All Exceed monsters are black color and they required 2 and above monsters(token can be used) which have the same star level and face-up on the field to Exceed Summon it from the Extra Deck(In this case, this card required 2 star level 4 monsters). The Exceed material will be stack together under the Exceed monster instead of sending the Exceed material to the graveyard. When the Exceed material is being removed, it will be sent to the graveyard and these Exceed material will not be consider as monster when they are stack under the Exceed monster but it can be use like the counter. Lastly, the Exceed Monster will not have star level thus those cards that applying on certain star level monster will not have effect on them. For example, Level Limit - Area B will not have effect on all Exceed Monster. Those star level is named as Rank.
Okay, that's all the latest news of today! Let's us await the arrival of Exceed Monster. Thanks for your time and wish you guys have a nice day! Please stay tuned for my next post.
Hey, guys! I think some of you guys had went to the tournament and it is a bit fun to all of us. Thus, I gonna share the Seremban Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournament result to your guys! However, the sad news is Trishula, Ice Barrier Dragon was no longer the champion prize and it has been replaced by Extreme Victory (EXVC) booster packs, several pack of GS2011 and several packs of special pack. The whole tournament is a knock-out based game and the total number of players whose compete in this tournament is 16 person.
This time, almost all the Seremban duelists also lose in this tournament and the finalists consisted of three Malays and a chinese. However, this is a good phenomenon to Malays Yu-Gi-Oh! players and the whole game is a fair enough tournament. The finalists consist of two six samurai, a blackwings and a magician deck. The champion is Suria Hadi, 1st runner-up is Ahmad Rahimi, 2nd runner-up is Leong En How and 3rd runner-up is Mokhtar. Although this tournament is a small game but it does reflect the power of six samurai deck too.
Thus, I will reveal the deck list of our champion to you guys since March 2011 is coming soon. Basically, this six samurai deck consists of some new cards from Extreme Victory (EXVC). Without wasting your time, let's us look at his deck.

Basically, with the aid of Shien's Dojo he manage to special summon Six Samurai monster even faster than before and it also act as a combo with the Gateway of Six. The strategy is similar to most of the Six Samurai deck and it is more based on special summon plus opponent's field control. Besides that, his hand luck was quite good during the tournament. Most of the time, he is able to synchro summon and special summon monster successfully. As a result, he manage to get the champion.
This tournament also reflected what cards will be included in the coming ban list. Moreover, the release of Extreme Victory also give us some forecast of the ban list such as Gateway of Six and Mind Master. I predicted Tech Genus(TG), Angel, Six Samurai, Blackwings, Machina Karakuri Plant and Psyhic decks would still be the next trend that obviously occurs during the tournament. Apart from the tournament news, next week I'm gonna update the real March 2011 ban list to this blog so guys please stay tuned in my blog and waiting for it.
Okay, I gonna end this post here. Thanks for your precious time and wish you guys have nice day! Please stay tuned for my next post.
