Seremban Tournament Result

Hey, guys! I think some of you guys had went to the tournament and it is a bit fun to all of us. Thus, I gonna share the Seremban Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournament result to your guys! However, the sad news is Trishula, Ice Barrier Dragon was no longer the champion prize and it has been replaced by Extreme Victory (EXVC) booster packs, several pack of GS2011 and several packs of special pack. The whole tournament is a knock-out based game and the total number of players whose compete in this tournament is 16 person.

This time, almost all the Seremban duelists also lose in this tournament and the finalists consisted of three Malays and a chinese. However, this is a good phenomenon to Malays Yu-Gi-Oh! players and the whole game is a fair enough tournament. The finalists consist of two six samurai, a blackwings and a magician deck. The champion is Suria Hadi, 1st runner-up is Ahmad Rahimi, 2nd runner-up is Leong En How and 3rd runner-up is Mokhtar. Although this tournament is a small game but it does reflect the power of six samurai deck too.

Thus, I will reveal the deck list of our champion to you guys since March 2011 is coming soon. Basically, this six samurai deck consists of some new cards from Extreme Victory (EXVC). Without wasting your time, let's us look at his deck.

Main:
Monster(14)
Grandmaster of the Six Samurai x3
Herald of the Six Samurai x1
Kagemusha of the Six Samurai x3

Legendary Six Samurai - Kizan x3
Legendary Six Samurai - Kageki x3

Shien's Dojo x2
Six Samurai United x2
Upstart Goblin x3

Trap(6)
Double-Edged Sword Technique x3
Solemn Warning x2
Solemn Judgment x1

Side Deck(Not all confirmed):
Consecrated Light x3
D.D. Crow x2
Kinetic Soldier x2

Colossal Fighter x1
Goyou Guardian x1

Trishula, Ice Barrier Dragon x1

Basically, with the aid of Shien's Dojo he manage to special summon Six Samurai monster even faster than before and it also act as a combo with the Gateway of Six. The strategy is similar to most of the Six Samurai deck and it is more based on special summon plus opponent's field control. Besides that, his hand luck was quite good during the tournament. Most of the time, he is able to synchro summon and special summon monster successfully. As a result, he manage to get the champion.

This tournament also reflected what cards will be included in the coming ban list. Moreover, the release of Extreme Victory also give us some forecast of the ban list such as Gateway of Six and Mind Master. I predicted Tech Genus(TG), Angel, Six Samurai, Blackwings, Machina Karakuri Plant and Psyhic decks would still be the next trend that obviously occurs during the tournament. Apart from the tournament news, next week I'm gonna update the real March 2011 ban list to this blog so guys please stay tuned in my blog and waiting for it.

Okay, I gonna end this post here. Thanks for your precious time and wish you guys have nice day! Please stay tuned for my next post.

Forecast for March 2011's Ban List

Hey, guys! We already passed through year 2010 for several weeks. However, there are one more important thing for all Duelists around the world besides the release of new cards which is the March 2011 ban list. Thus, I would like to share my own forecast of March 2011's ban list to you guys.

Unlike the previous forecast, this time I will predict that the coming March 2011 ban list is a major hit to the trend of OCG and TCG. Before I continue my forecast, I would like to share some of my opinion towards the current situation of OCG. With the effect of September 2010 ban list, the whole trend of OCG is becoming more horrible and OTKs still frequently happen during tournament. However, this situation mostly occurs among Blackwings and Six Samurai decks.

Among all those popular decks before the impact of September 2010 ban list, Infernity, Lightsworn, Blackwings, Frogs, Frog Monarchs, Quickdraw Dandy and Cat-Synchro are superb decks during those time. With the apply of September 2010 ban list, 3 major popular decks have been hit heavily and they are Cat-synchro, Frogs and Infernity. Start from that moment, some of these decks started disappeared from the eyes of public. Therefore I would predicted that these decks may re-appears in the eyes of public soon because Konami may need to reduce the OTKs speed through releasing these powerful decks to against the popular decks especially Blackwings and Six Samurai.

With the release of Extreme Victory(EXVC), psychic will definitely become the next FTK/OTK deck. By using these whole new set of psychic support cards, psychic deck can regain their FTK/OTK opportunity. Basically, Konami quite against with the idea of FTK/OTKs thus Mind Master may say goodbye to all psychic players after March 2011. Besides, this new booster pack is a bit more focus on out of play monster(s) from the graveyard or deck. For more details of EXVC, check it at this page.

Okay, below is my forecast ban list.

Ban:
Mind Master
Monster Reborn

Limited:
Judgment Dragon
Rescue Cat
Tech-Genus(TG) Hyper Librarian
Heavy Storm
Mystical Space Typhoon

Semi-limited:
Black Rose Dragon
Debris Dragon
Mezuki
Neo-spacian Grand Mole
Emergency Teleport
Gateway of Six
Pot of Avarice
Pot of Duality
Ceasefire
Royal Decree
Royal Oppression
Icarus Attack

Unlimited:
Snipe Hunter
Bottomless Trap Hole
Magic Cylinder

However, this ban list does not hitting much to the decks such as Karakuri, Scraps, Plant OTK, or even Tech Genus(TG). Apart from that, with the air of Yugioh Zexal series during the Spring of 2011 in Japan, Konami may change the rules of game soon due to they will introduce the new method of special summoning - Exceed/Excess Summon and new archtype of Monster - Exceed/Excess monsters. This special summon required players to have 2 or more monsters with the same star level in order to perform Exceed Summon of Exceed monster(s). According to the duel ruling in the Yugioh Zexal comic, the Exceed Summon materials will placed on the fields instead of sending to the graveyard as performed by Synchro Summon. Thus, Konami needs to add additional rulings about this special summon.

I predicted that the Exceed Summon is also a special summon of monster from the Extra deck thus the Extra deck card limits may change to 20 cards. In addition, Exceed Summon also required a new archtype of monster that helps to perform Exceed Summon which similar to Tuner in Synchro Summon. Thus, we may see a whole set of monster series occurs in the next booster pack(705) and the year 2011 starter deck. Hopefully this special summon is another style of game play thus the game may become more interesting.

Okay, that's all I wanna share today. Thanks for your time and wish you guys have a blast day. Please stay tuned for my next post.

Is it Gold Enough?

Hey, guys! Today I would like to share the full card list of Gold Series 2011(OCG). I think most of us also have awaiting for the arrival of GS2011 and Konami did not disappointed us this time.

Full card list(has been arranged in sequence):

Mask of Darkness
Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer
Injection Fairy Lily
D.D. Warrior Lady
Chaos Sorcerer
Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch
Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter
Chimeratech Fortress Dragon(NR)
Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier(NR)
Nobleman of Crossout
Dark Hole
United We Stand
Riryoku
Fires of Doomsday
Dust Tornado
Ceasefire
Trap Hole
Compulsory Evacuation Device
Widespread Ruin

Based on the card list, we can concluded that this pack of gold series is valuable to buy. Almost all the cards that reprinted in GS2011 are usable in most of the decks and even NR such as Injection Fairy Lily and Fires of Doomsday also included. This is a great news for all OCG players since rare cards as Gungnir can be found easily. So what are you waiting for? Go and grab GS2011 as soon as possible for all OCG players.

Somehow, the appearance of GS2011 would certainly change some of the OCG countries' tournament style. Thus, we may see more types of decks compete in the national tournament event. However, the release of GS2011 does not much affected the Blackwings and Six Samurai decks. Another latest news about Extreme Victory (EXVC) is almost all Bruno cards are reprinted in this booster pack. Thus, Tech Genus(TG) may become the next popular decks soon.

The TG cards will included the first 12 star synchro monster which is TG Halberd Cannon and it is a monster version of "Solemn Warning". Apart from that, it is easy to synchro summon because it does not have much restriction on the synchro material. Somehow, it is one of important synchro monster for TG deck players. Another good synchro monster for TG is TG Recipro Dragonfly which works as a combo with TG Hyper Librarian for drawing card(s). However, this combo would only works well if we use Plant TG deck. They also have a TG version of Gladiator's Return which is TGX3-DX2 but it is a trap card and it allows player to draws 2 cards.

Okay, that's all I wanna share today! Thanks for your time and wish you guys have a nice day. Please stay tuned for my next post.

Angel Top Deck

Hey, guys! Happy new year! Today I would like to share about the latest top deck at Japan for these few weeks. Just with the release of Lost Sanctuary (SD20) in the OCG, Angel has regain their position in most of the unofficial tournament. However, Debris Plant, Quickdraw Dandy, Blackwings and Six Samurai are still the most popular decks among others in the OCG.

During these days, we seldom see the Herald of Perfection deck in the OCG tournament although Angel deck has been released for a number of weeks. Most of the Angel players started focus on Master Hyperion because of its destruction effect and it is easily to special summon from the hand. However, they also more focuses on the usage of Angel tuners such as The Agent of Mystery - Earth and Herald of Orange Light. By adding these cards, we can have choices to synchro summon destructive synchro monsters such as Trishula, Mist Wurm, Scrap Dragon and Black Rose Dragon.

With the help of synchro monsters, they can even swarm the field more faster and this also enable Archlord Kristya to special summon from the hand more easily. Thus, prevent their opponent from special summoning monsters. Apart from that, with the aid of Herald of Orange Light, they can stop those destructive monsters' effect from the opponent such as Dark Armed Dragon, Brionac, Trishula, Black Rose Dragon and others. Besides, they may also put Ancient Holy Wvyern in their extra deck because it can helps in OTK opponent at certain time.

In my opinion, Angel deck that focuses on super draw can gain more advantage than those decks that lack of draw engine. During those days, Blackwings are powerful enough because of drawing and hand card advantage from the Allure of Darkness and Black Whirlwind. But with the limit of Allure of Darkness and Black Whirlwind, Blackwings swarming speed are a bit slower than those days. As a conclusion, Angel deck that focuses on drawing engine is more powerful. Before I end my post today, I would like to share deck list for the super draw Angel deck.

Monster:
Master Hyperion x3
The Agent of Mystery - Earth x3
Archlord Kristya x2
Honest x2
The Angel of Creation - Venus x3
Mystical Shine Ball x3
Herald of Orange Light x3
Herald of Purple Light x1

Spell:
Mystical Space Typhoon x2
Monster Reborn x1
Book of Moon x2
Cold Wave x1
Pot of Duality x3
Dark Hole x1
Giant Tornado x1
Treasure of Heaven x3

Trap:
Solemn Judgment x1
Solemn Wishing x2
Mirror Force x1
Torrential Tribute x1
Return from the Different Dimension x1
Dimensional Prison x1

Okay, that's all for today! Thanks for your time. Wish you guys have a blast new year and let's us await for the release of GS2011 in the OCG. Please stay tuned for my next post.

Angel Strike is Back!

Hey, guys! Konami had just introduced the 20th set of structure deck "Lost Sanctuary" to the OCG. This new structure deck is a great news for all Angel-lovers because this deck is quite valuable to play as it included most of the powerful reprint cards. The whole deck list can be viewed here.

Apart from that, this deck can be play by combining 3 sets of this structure deck. This deck mostly focuses on the Sanctuary of Sky so that the Angel-type monsters can have additional effects. The ace cards in this deck are Master Hyperion and Archlord Kristya. With the aid of Archlord Kristya, angel's player is far more easy to control over their opponent in the same time forbidden opponent to special summon monster(s).

Besides, with the reprint of Archlord Kristya, this also means that OCG countries can play it legally in the tournament. This also means deck of Herald of Perfection is absolutely legal and powerful enough in the OCG countries. Apart from that, deck which mainly focuses on Archlord Kristya can be build and use in tournament from now. This also means that the variety of deck for OCG has been increased and players can have more option of decks to play in the tournament.

As a result, decks which focuses on special summon such as Quickdraw Dandy and Six Samurai may have a difficulty against the Angel deck. Another latest news from the next booster pack "Extreme Victory" are the Machine Emperor sub-members which is Machine Soldier would be included in this booster pack too. However, their effect have not been revealed yet. In addition, the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime series is gonna end up soon in year 2011 and it will be continue with a whole new series called as Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal.

Let's us wait and see whether the Six Samurai can be stop by the Angel deck in the OCG. Okay, that's all for today! Thanks for your time and wish you guys have a nice day. Please stay tuned for my next post.
